A brand new name and identity

We have a new name and new look that give a clear message about who we are.

Since 1915 we've supported over 35,000 people. Almost 100 years on, we're now helping over 3,000 blind veterans throughout the UK. We believe there are some 50,000 blind veterans who may also need our help, so we want to get our message out to them, their friends, families and neighbours. We want more people to know we're here, that is why we changed our name from St Dunstan's to Blind Veterans UK.

Why we've become Blind Veterans UK

We've thought long and hard about what we're all about - and our new identity captures this perfectly.
We know that not enough people are aware of us.There are many other organisations called St Dunstan's, including churches, schools, colleges, therapists and dentists. We need to stand out. We are a military charity and wanted to make this clear in our new name. So we talked to our members, staff, supporters and potential supporters and did months of research into what makes us special. We've updated our whole brand: our name, the way we look and the way we sound - to make our purpose clear, simple to understand and easy to remember.

St Dunstan's becomes Blind Veterans UK Why we have changed

Our President, Ray Hazan OBE, explains why St Dunstan's decided to rebrand the charity to Blind Veterans UK, and how this will help support and benefit more blind and partially-sighted ex-military UK personnel in the years to come.
