About our new brand

Blind Veterans UK logo
The new brand is designed to get across who we are

We're one of the UK's oldest military charities and we're very proud of the work we do. After almost 100 years supporting blind veterans we have a new name and a new look.

Our new identity reflects our groundbreaking work with veterans and our friendly, personal approach.

This will help us become better known and recognised, so we can help more people.

Our logo

When we did our research we found that:

  • People are very interested in the emotional support and practical help we give
  • Our military connection is key
  • Our new logo should reflect our confidence
  • People wanted us to look modern, ageless and still keep our heritage

That's why it's important for us that our new logo is used correctly and as much as possible. We prefer it if you use the logo in full colour - red and blue. We also have greyscale and black & white versions if you need them. Please use the logo as it is and don't change it in any way. It's great if you leave some space around the logo - the size of the UK in the logo is fine.

If you need a different format, or a high resolution logo please contact brand@blindveterans.org.uk.

Our straplines

Life beyond sight loss. St Dunstan's since 1915.

This sums up our values and our mission. It recognises the difficulties that our members face, and it underlines our cconfidence and positive approach. To honour our heritage we will also use St Dunstan's in our strapline in most of our material.

Our colours

We're concentrating on red, white and blue, emphasising people's association with the Forces. We've added three more sets of blues, greens, yellows and purples to our palette, to blend well with our main colour scheme.

Our fonts

Aria is our web font as it's good for on-screen reading. In printed material we use FF Meta and FF Meta Serif, which are easily readable, solid, distinctive and modern.

Our tone of voice - how we sound

Our tone of voice reflects our attitudes and our approach whenever we communicate. We sum it up as being clear, confident and friendly.
