Supporting blind veterans
We give guidance and support to veterans as they adjust to their loss of sight and regain their personal independence. Whatever the level of support they need, we will work with them for the rest of their lives.
We have three centres in England and Wales; on the South Coast, in the North of England and in North Wales.
Each centre is a place for recreation, training and rehabilitation for blind veterans and their families. We provide professional support, care and training to help our members enjoy life beyond sight loss, starting by helping people understand the implications of their vision impairment.
St Dunstan's since 1915, Blind Veterans UK support blind and partially sighted ex-military personnel and their families, helping them regain their independence and enjoy life again after blindness. Here we hear from some of the people who have already benefited from the charity's assistance.
