Forces Challenge
If you’re in the forces, you can set yourself a challenge to support Blind Veterans UK. Units around the UK set themselves tasks to complete either in darkness or while blindfolded. It's a taste of what life's like for our members, and it also raises awareness and vital funds for our charity work.
Choose your challenge
The first step is to set a challenge and pick a date. It can be competitive or relaxed, large or small: all we ask is that you raise as much as you can for Blind Veterans UK.
Then fill out the forces challenge registration form below. We'll
give you fundraising materials and advice, and enter your team into
awards for the largest sum raised. If your unit raises over £500,
we'll give you a commemorative plaque to thank you for your
efforts!
Ten marathons in five days
Staff Sergeant Jim Offord and nine of his colleagues completed ten marathons in five days, tabbing day and night over 270 miles while carrying 40-pound army-issue Bergen rucksacks.
"I'd like to encourage Forces personnel to test their mettle by taking up Blind Veterans UK's Forces Challenge. It's a great way to thank and support ex-servicemen and women who have shown courage and determination having lost their sight"
