If you're running a race, competing in a triathlon or taking part in any other sporting event and would like to support Blind Veterans UK, just get in touch. Read below for details on various runs throughout the UK for you to get involved in.
Run you own race for Blind Veterans UK!
We believe that no one who has served their country should have to battle blindness alone. If you share our beliefs and want to take part in a race for Blind Veterans UK, we would love to have you join our team.
If you're running for us, we'll give you:
- A fundraising pack and help with your fundraising
- A training t-shirt and race day running vest
All you need to do is fill in our running application form to
confirm you've already bought your place through the race
organiser. And if you have any questions, just email us at fundraising@blindveterans.org.uk
or call us on 020 7616 7966.
We also recommend setting up a JustGiving donation page to make it quick and easy for people to donate. And we'd love to hear about your event on our Facebook page.
How about starting small and working up to the Big Marathon? How about running the Fen Drayton Run in 2013? The organisers of the Fen Drayton have kindly decided to donate the proceeds of next years event to Blind Veterans UK along with two other charities. The run is a great chance to get involved in a fun event and is suitable for beginners. For more information about the event you can visit their website or join their facebook page.
