Kate Adie OBE said: ''It's estimated that there are more than 68,000 ex-Armed Forces personnel who are unaware that they could be benefitting from the life-changing support of Blind Veterans UK. I think that anyone who has served our country should not have to battle blindness alone. That is why I am backing the No One Alone campaign."

While the No One Alone campaign is aimed at all ex Armed Forces
personnel with sight problems, we are keen to reach out to the
national service generation of men, who are in their 70s and 80s.
This generation may be trying to cope with a severe sight problem
and be unaware that their brief time in the forces means they are
eligible for Blind Veterans UK practical and emotional support.
If you know of someone who might be eligible to be helped by Blind
Veterans UK please go to the No One Alone website or call 0800 389 7979.
