We run breaks for our Members all year round at our centres in the stunning coastal towns of Llandudno and Rustington.

All the activities have come from your suggestions and include something for everyone. So, kick back and relax at our home from home and let us help make your holiday by the sea one to remember.

We’d love to hear how you get on. Please do let us know during your stay.

Urgent announcement

Our Llandudno Centre is temporarily closed for essential maintenance and future bookings may be affected.

Where you'll stay

Llandudno, North Wales

Holidays at our magnificent Llandudno Centre of Wellbeing are designed for those with all levels of sight loss and you'll be in very safe hands with our staff during your stay. The scenery is spectacular and there's so much to do - not only at the centre, but also in the vibrant seaside town and beyond.

Rustington, West Sussex

Last year, we opened our doors to our brand new Rustington Centre of Wellbeing. Designed from top to bottom for our Members, this purpose-built building is truly impressive. Just a stone’s throw from the beach the location is awe-inspiring, while the delightful high street is just a short stroll away.

Things to consider before you register

How do I know which break I'll like?

Regardless of whether you book online or over the phone, our friendly member of our bookings team can discuss the best options for you based on your needs and interests.

How much will my stay cost?

Our costs vary depending on two things: whether you need care and whether you lost your sight as a result of your service.

The table below reflects our pricing from April 2024.

Please note, Blind Veterans UK has a comprehensive grants policy so if you feel that cost is a barrier, please do speak to your community team.

All trips and activities are included in your holiday costs. If there's an opportunity to enjoy a visit to the theatre, we will contact you in advance to gauge your interest and request that the cost of the ticket is covered on arrival.

What type of stay do I need?

We offer two types of stays at our centres – ‘independent’ and ‘care’ and this makes a difference to how much you pay.

So, what’s the difference?

Independent stay

Our ‘independent stays’ are for beneficiaries and spouses who do not require assistance or care during their stay, or are bringing someone who will provide all the necessary assistance.

Put simply, if you don’t receive professional care at home and you are able to manage all your personal requirements yourself, including medication, then there’s no need to book care at our Centres.

You will be treated like a hotel guest and can book your stay directly with our bookings team.

Care stay

Our Centres are registered care homes, regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England, and the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW). This means that we can provide care and support if you need it.

So, if you currently receive care at home, you should book either a ‘residential stay’ or a ‘nursing stay’, depending on your needs. The level of care you require will be agreed with us beforehand.

If you have any questions about this, we are happy to help. Please call our Rustington bookings team on 01273 391 500 and our Llandudno bookings team on 01492 868 700.

Register your interest

The quickest way is to register your interest is by completing our simple online form. A member of our bookings team will contact you to discuss available options and any questions you might have.
