Front of House – Security (Nightshift)
We are looking for an experienced candidate with experience of working nightshifts within a customer service and customer focused environment.
- £18,769 per annum plus unsocial hours allowance
- Closing date is midday on 8 July 2019
37.5 hours per week, working a 15 day cycle consisting of 11 hour nightshifts, 20.30 – 07.30 (1 hour unpaid break), 4 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off

Our Front of House Security and Reception team provide an invaluable customer focussed service to all members and visitors to the Centre. Working a nightshift rota and covering 365 days a year, the post holder is responsible for their own workload and as directed by the Front of House Supervisor, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all centre users whilst delivering a professional, friendly, and helpful customer service experience. The post holder will work collaboratively with the nightshift care team to support member’s needs and the respective needs of each team.
This role primarily focuses on the safety and security of the Centre’s service users, the staff and the building, using the security systems provided, whilst also considering Health & Safety and Fire Safety requirements in accordance with policies and procedures. The position also provides administrative and facilities support when particular elements of work and jobs can be carried out more conveniently during the nightshift.
The ideal candidate will have had experience working nightshifts within a customer service and customer focused environment, with knowledge and an understanding of security systems, have good H&S and Fire Safety awareness as well as excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Experience of working with elderly people with a visual impairment or disability would be beneficial, although is not essential.
This position will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
