Blind Veterans UK helps vision-impaired ex-Service men and women of every generation rebuild their lives after sight loss. Since 1915, we’ve provided rehabilitation, training, practical advice, and emotional support to tens of thousands of blind veterans.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic person to provide practical support to the members of Blind Veterans UK by delivering, installing, and providing refresher training on equipment to enable our members to live independent and fulfilling lives.

The post involves:

· To support rehabilitation team by collecting, delivering, setting up and providing refresher training on rehabilitation equipment.

· To ensure every member experience a sense of wellbeing, purpose and inclusive family feel throughout their involvement with the charity.

· Administrative duties pertaining to recording and maintaining robust equipment records.

· Acting as point of contact for staff and members with enquiries about our services.

· Ensure that returned equipment has been logged, cleaned and tested before reissuing to another member.

· Work collaboratively with the Centre Service and National Recycling Service to meet the needs of the members.

The successful candidate will be willing to undertake training about vision impairment and assistive technology.

You will also be able to work on your own initiative, multi-task and have excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will be a confident user of technology and have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

A full driver's licence is essential.
