Part Time Chaplain

We’re looking for an empathetic, personable Chaplain to join our holistic team of care, rehabilitation and support staff at our Blind Veterans UK Centre in Ovingdean, Brighton.

14 hours per week (£15.70/hour)

The primary focus of this part time role is on the person centred spiritual and pastoral care of our Blind Veterans members and their families. Within our Centre at Brighton, there are approximately 30 residents plus visiting members who access our extensive facilities, and a sizable team of staff and volunteers.

Within this role you will organise and lead regular weekly services and officiate at other ceremonies such as funerals and memorials. You will also participate and attend remembrance and military events. Within this role you will work collectively and collaboratively alongside our health care professionals and rehabilitation staff. You will provide pastoral care services as needed, to our staff and volunteers and liaise with local clergy and faith representatives and leaders.

There will be occasional evening and weekend work and there may be occasional travel to other locations within the UK.
