AgustaWestland trainees will take on the Yeovil Half Marathon

Six AgustaWestland trainees will take on the Yeovil Half Marathon on Sunday 29th March, in a bid to raise at least £1500 for Yeovil Opportunity Group and Blind Veterans UK - the charities nominated to benefit from fundraising activity throughout Westland's Centenary year.

The group will tackle the 13.1 mile route around the town that starts and finishes at Huish Park - the home of Yeovil Town Football Club - joining the 1000-strong crowd of participants from across the region. The runners - one apprentice, four undergraduates and a graduate trainee - are of mixed ability, some with previous marathon experience and others new to the long distance running experience.

All proceeds made from their efforts will go into the AWASA charity fundraising pot, which aims to reach a whopping £50,000 during 2015 - the year that marks 100 years of aircraft manufacture in Yeovil.

Anyone wishing to support the team, comprising Simon Clark, Samuel Healy, Charlie Muir, Jamie Rubie, Henry Holland and Shuaib Blake (pictured L-R), are encouraged to donate via their donation page: https://www.justgiving.com/AWASA/
