Blind Veterans UK interview on BBC Remembrance Sunday coverage

13 November 2012 12:29

Blind Veterans UK member Shaun Stocker and our supporter Lance Corporal Matt Croucher speaking live on the BBC Remembrance Sunday service.

Shaun Stocker and Lance Corporal Matt Croucher were interviewed by Sophie Raworth about how Blind Veterans UK have helped Shaun recover to a life beyond sight loss after being badly injured in Afghanistan. 22 year old Fusilier Shaun Stocker lost both legs and his sight from an IED blast while serving in 2010.

In 2007, 28 year old Lance Corporal Matt Croucher risked his own life to save his comrades by throwing himself on a Taliban booby trap, and incredibly walked away with just a nosebleed when his rucksack absorbed the blast. He was awarded the George Cross for his bravery and heroism.

Thanks to all of our 198 strong group who marched on behalf of Blind Veterans UK.
