Blind Veterans UK invite cheese lovers to a brie-lliant night in Llandudno

Cheese lovers are being invited to test their knowledge of their favourite fermented foodstuffs and raise money for military veterans.

Cheese connoisseurs from across North Wales are being invited to a Cheese Challenge Night at our Llandudno centre on Queen's Road, on Friday 19 September.

Guests will be able to prove that they know their cheeses in our Cheesy Mastermind quiz and Cheese Tasting Challenge.

Blind Veterans UK Regional Fundraiser Victoria Beech says: "Guests will be able to challenge their knowledge on everything from fermenting processes to the history of cheese, as well as seeing if they can guess the cheese by taste alone - and there will be prizes for the cream of the crop.

"Those who sign up to the Challenge will also be able to sample local cheeses, with a range of alcoholic and soft drinks which complement their flavours.

"Blind Veterans UK's Llandudno centre will be celebrating three years of service in September, and our Cheese Challenge Night is a wonderful way of saying thanks to the local community and showcase the work we do for ex-Service men and women with sight loss."

All attendees will be given the opportunity to visit our training facilities as part of the evening to learn more about how various equipment and training ensures ex-Service men and women can live independently with sight loss.

Tickets for the event, which kicks off at 7:30pm at Blind Veterans UK, Llandudno, are only £5 and guests are being asked to book early to avoid disappointment.

Ticket sales close on 10 September - to buy tickets, please call Victoria Beech on 01492 864574 or email For more information about Blind Veterans UK's work, please visit the about us section of our website.
