Brave supporters put their best foot forward in Ice Walk Challenge

15 ‘brave soles’ took part in our first Ice Walk Challenge last Saturday at our centre in Llandudno.
The Ice Walk Challenge took courageous participants across a terrifying 15 foot long walk across a bed of razor sharp glass.
Among the participants were three generations of one family. The family was led by grandmother April Runicman, who works for us, and the youngest family member to take part was eight year old Nicole Abdi.
Nicole says: “I was a little bit scared when I first stepped on the glass but felt very proud when I got to the end.”
Victoria Beech, our Regional Fundraiser, says: “Following on from the success of our Fire Walks in the last two years we thought we’d try something different.
“The thought of walking over broken glass terrified all of those taking part but they conquered that fear and not only raised vital money for our Llandudno centre – they also gained belief that anything is possible.”
