The Brighton Half Marathon ambassador Nikki Bailey raises awareness for Blind Veterans UK!

Nikki Bailey, one of the Brighton Half Marathon's official ambassadors, urges all to sign up for one of Blind Veterans UK's last few places and join the race on its behalf.

Nikki Bailey, 42, of Burgess Hill, West Sussex, became overweight following the births of her two children. After she decided enough was enough, she went on diet, began to exercise and successfully lost an impressive three stone. She now runs a number of runs and has even been chosen as an official Ambassador for the Brighton Half Marathon thanks to her tremendous support.

Nikki said: "One of the charities I would really like to raise awareness about for the Brighton Half Marathon is Blind Veterans UK, formerly St Dunstan's.

"The charity has wonderful facilities in its three centres, and they provide excellent support for veterans whose lives have been turned upside down by the loss of their sight."

Tracy Stratford, Senior Events Officer at Blind Veterans UK, said: "There is still enough time to train and fundraise for this challenge and we will be on hand to give you training plans and cheer you along on the day. Every step you run will make a big difference to the blind veterans we support."

If you would like to join the race and do something amazing for us, then please contact Jackson at Blind Veterans UK for more information on 0207 6167927 or email
