We're always looking at new ways to get our blind veterans together

At our Llandudno centre just before Christmas we held our first “Community Holiday”.

Blind veterans from Swansea, Neath, Dinas Powys and Ammanford joined together in Llandudno for a week of activities and fun.

As one veteran said at the end of the week,

"You have really achieved something amazing, you have brought a whole community together and it is absolutely fantastic."

Isolation and loneliness are real problems for the elderly, especially for those with sight loss.  Introducing our blind veterans to others in their area can be the beginning of some wonderful and enduring friendships.

So to all our staff and our volunteers who made this possible, diolch yn fawr iawn – thank you very much.
