A military audience in Camp Bastion has joined cast and crew from CSE Forces Entertainment to create a show-stopping Harlem Shake video.

It was the highlight of the latest CSE tour in Afghanistan, which delivered shows for troops based in Kandahar, Kabul and Camp Bastion.

Comedians John Ryan and Andy Askins were joined by CSE favourites, Lucas, and the CSE Dancers also performed across all the locations.

The Harlem Shake phenomenon has been taking the Internet by storm in the last month with hundreds of videos appearing online over a matter of days.

After British Forces News staged their own version in the BFBS studios last week, CSE's Sakina Kajee had her light-bulb moment and thought it would be fun to stage one in Afghanistan.

With help from the British Forces News team and BFBS Radio colleagues in Camp Bastion, the idea became a reality and the online video has already had more than 10,000 hits since it went live on Monday.

CSE Dancer Pierina Borrotzu teamed her CSE costume with a combat helmet as she took centre stage in the CSE Harlem Shake. She said: 'Performing in front of the troops here is the biggest privilege ever…you know here they really appreciate it.'

The CSE Facebook wall was busy after the shows at the weekend.

"Great Night in Camp Bastion, thanks a lot for the show, may there be many more"
"Awesome nite thanks"
"Absolutely amazing show last night, the best I've seen"
"Another great show by the CSE crew once again. Loads of laughs and some cracking songs to sing along to. And the dancers were lovely too :)"
