Early Bird offers for Blind Veterans UK 100km walk now out!

Early Bird registration ends on 31 October, so make sure to send in your registration on time!

Following another successful 100km walk, at Blind Veterans UK we're already gearing up for another equally impressive 2014 event.

The fourth event of its kind, the 2014 walk will see more dedicated walkers trudge (or saunter, depending on their fitness levels!) their way from London down to Brighton, all in the name of raising funds for a cause we all hold very much at heart.

At Blind Veterans UK, we're already working towards making the 2014 event a success, and the Early Bird registration is now open.  More information can be found on http://walk100.org.uk/sign-up/.

Signing up before 31 October costs £75 for the entirety of the walk.  If you're planning on organising a relay and sharing the walk with friends, the cost is £100 for a 4-person relay.

The 2013 winner was Garry Rathbone, who completed the gruelling trek in a formidable 17 hrs, 11 minutes and 17 seconds.

If you're eager to prove yourself while helping Blind Veterans UK in the 2014 walk, then we would love to hear from you!

We received plenty of encouraging feedback from this year's walkers, some of which we would love to share with you below:

Just a brief note to thank you and all the team members that worked with you to organise and run this event.  Firstly I thought it was very well done; logistics worked well.  Navigation (at least for the leg I did), seemed straight forward and well marked.  I also thought the extras in terms of towels, food and drink anticipated well what the participants needed.
