Remember a loved one with a Star of Remembrance

Remember a loved one by creating a Star of Remembrance this Christmas.

Christmas is a time of year when our thoughts inevitably turn to those no longer with us. We recognise that the festive period can be a difficult time for those who have lost loved ones. This year we would like to offer our supporters the opportunity to create a public memorial to their lost loved ones. We are proud to introduce Star of Remembrance - a social way of celebrating the lives of those who meant so much to us.

Choosing to remember a loved one through Star of Remembrance provides a unique way of celebrating their lives with our community of supporters and members. There are two ways of taking part; you can choose to either create a physical tribute at one of our regional centres, or submit an online star to the Blind Veterans UK Facebook page which you can then share with your family and friends.

If you wish to send a gift with your star this Christmas, anything you can spare will contribute towards helping our blind veterans discover life beyond sight loss.

Facebook Tributes

If you are unable to make your way to one of our centres, or if you would prefer an online tribute that you can share regardless of location, we are providing the opportunity to create an online star.

Our Online Stars of Remembrance can be personalised to your preference and can be shared amonst your family and friends on Facebook. We can also accompany your star with a longer additional message, where you can share your memories of your loved one.

Regional Centre Tributes

Located at our regional centres in Brighton, Llandudno and Sheffield, along with our London head office are Christmas stars upon which you may write a message in memory of your loved one and the star will be hung on the tree at each location. Through the star your loved one's memory will be shared with our visitors, members and supporters over the Christmas period.
