Lynette Barrowman has raised a fantastic £1,000 for Blind Veterans UK which will be matched by her employer the Bibby Line Group based in Liverpool.
Lynette Barrowman from The Bibby Line Group has raised over £1,000 over the last 18 months holding raffles at her work place. The money that she has raised will go to supporting the work of Blind Veterans UK which includes training, rehabilitation and support of vision impaired veterans.
Lynette has said that all her colleagues have been exceptionally supportive and the Bibby Line Group will match like for like money raised by their employees, making a total of £2,000 for Blind Veterans UK.
The Bibby Line Group is an independent family run business based in Liverpool, which has been operating for the past 200 years. The group operates in shipping, marine services, logistics, financial services, offshore services and retail.
Lynette chose to support Blind Veterans UK as the support we provide for ex-Service men and women is close to her heart. Lynette's son is currently serving in the Armed Forces and has previously completed two tours in Afghanistan.
