Volunteer Robin Hood didn't need his Merry Men.

Volunteer Robin Hood didn’t need any Merry Men to transform the garden of a blind veteran Lindy, all in time for her birthday party.

When Robin arrived at blind veteran Lindy’s garden he knew he had his work cut out. The garden took four days to clear completely as trees, shrubs and the borders had to be cut back into shape.

Lindy was delighted she was able to host her birthday party on the lawn with 40 friends. They were all very impressed with her new garden as we are too!

Robin began volunteering for our charity after spotting an advert for avolunteer gardener. Robin felt it was the perfect opportunity as he had trained as a landscape gardener and had just retired from The Army after 47 years.

Robin says: "I really enjoy volunteering. I get a tremendous amount out of helping veterans and I am more than happy to help where I can!"
