The Llandudno centre in 2011

Date: Saturday, 21 September 10.30am - 1.30pm

Location: Blind Veterans UK Centre, Llandudno

Registration: Free

Blind Veterans UK’s Llandudno Centre opened its doors on 19 September 2011. The team were excited to be part of an organisation with a long history of supporting veterans in rebuilding their lives after sight loss.

Join us at our Birthday Brew Up to mark our 8th successful year in Llandudno and discover for yourself the difference we have been making to the lives of our veterans and how you can help us continue this work for many birthdays to come.

Join us to:

  • Explore a ROVI room filled with VI assistance equipment, send an email using voice over software in our IT Training Room and try basic everyday tasks under blindfold in our Training Kitchens.
  • Try your hand at VI riffle shooting with members of the Llandudno & Colwyn Bay Marksmen Club.
  • Chat with team members to discover more about the exciting activities we get up to with our veterans and how sight loss should not be a barrier to any activity – from water sports to driving, arts and crafts to archery!
  • Find out how you can get involved – whether as a volunteers or a supporter. Learn more about the exciting events you could be part of.

Activities are suitable for all ages (children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult) and there will a quiz competition with a chance to win a birthday bundle including Blind Veterans UK goodies and a £10 One4All voucher.

There will be plenty of birthday cake and a nice hot brew on hand to toast our centre.

Admission is free but donations to support our work are welcome.
