London to Brighton Cycle 2022
Leave the buzz of the city behind and join your fellow cyclists as you saddle up for this 55 mile journey from the heart of London to Brighton seafront!
Make your way through the idyllic English countryside, putting your pedals to the test on Ditchling Beacon. Stop off at the picturesque village of Turners Hill to refuel before heading off for the finish line at Brighton Seafront!
No need to be looking at your map – the route will be fully sign-posted so that you can keep your eyes on the road and enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside.
This is the perfect challenge for solo riders looking to get in some extra miles, beginner cyclists taking on their first big challenge or corporate groups looking for a team cycle!
Lunch and water stops are provided on the route and riders can take advantage of stationary and roaming mechanical support if assistance is needed.
Exceed the half-way mark of your fundraising target prior to the event and you will receive a Blind Veterans UK cycling top to wear with pride as you complete the challenge.
Thanks to our support, blind veteran Maria was able to completely this challenge in 2021.
Maria, with tandem teammate and husband Richard, fundraised for our charity as a thank you for the life-changing support we provided.
She says “The charity saved my life after losing my job as a nurse due to sight loss. Blind Veterans UK taught me how to use specialised software and touch-type, enabling me to return to work as an Eye Clinic Liaison Officer. Not only have they helped me, they’ve enabled me to help hundreds of patients going through sight loss.”
Apply for a Blind Veterans UK charity place to help us continue supporting blind veterans like Maria. When complete, a member of our team will get in touch to discuss your application.
