We invite our veterans to join one of the creative projects below.

Creative Activities

A series of activities delivered right to our veterans' doors. Right now we are offering art and craft, written and spoken word, gardening, listening and discussion.

If you are one of our veterans and would like to take part, please contact your Community Support Worker.

  • Collaboration in Colour: blue and purple
  • Gardening: summer herbs
  • Pastels for Beginners and Improvers
  • Tea Towel Art Project: summer flowers
  • Woodwork: bird box

To join or find out more about the Mystery Art Box Project, contact Dr Claire Castle on email or 07710 859149.

Creative Book

An opportunity for our veterans, volunteers and staff to document their experiences during Covid-19. There is no one form that this will take; it will be an amalgamation of many formats. Creative writing, photography and music just to name a few. This will be treasured in our archives for many years to come.

  • Veterans: contact your Community Support Worker
  • Volunteers: contact your Volunteer Coordinator

If you are a Blind Veterans UK staff member or someone that wants to find out more about the project, contact the Creative Book team on creativebook@blindveterans.org.uk.

Creative Hobby Circles

A way to keep our veterans connected. By telephone or video call we are hosting virtual get-togethers so our veterans can talk to other veterans who share the same hobbies and interests.

If you are one of our veterans and would like to take part, please contact your Community Support Worker
