Blind Veterans UK was there for veterans who lost their sight on D-Day and throughout the Second World War, caring for them throughout their lives.
And now, we are here for those who served and survived but lost their sight in later life. On the 75th anniversary of D-Day, we are recognising the way our veterans rebuilt their lives at that time and ever since. You can read some of their stories below.
We currently support more veterans than ever before in the charity’s history but we know that there are 50,000 across the country who are eligible for our help and who we haven’t yet been able to reach. With your support we can give back to those who gave so much on the beaches in Normandy.
