Art & Craft

Our Art and Craft department gives veterans an outlet for their creativity. Whether it's a skill someone thinks they may have lost or something they've never tried before, we help our blind veterans develop their creativity.

Some activities our veterans can enjoy are:
• Painting
• Drawing
• Ceramics
• Mosaics
• Woodturning
• Sculpture
• Photography

These skills really help blind veterans to build their sense of independence and job satisfaction, and may even provide a little extra income.

Photography may be a challenge for vision-impaired people, but it is not impossible. Our veterans discovered how blind photographers can enjoy photography, despite the obvious challenges.

It's about more than the camera - we looked at ways of capturing shots, getting to the right place to take them and how to review work.
