Archery Companion: Sheffield (No archery experience required!)
- 3 hours on a Monday morning
One of our veterans is an accomplished archer and would love some support at his practice sessions at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, on a Monday morning.
If you could spare approximately 3 hours on a Monday morning to meet our veteran and help him hone his craft by acting as a spotter we would love to hear from you. He has won bronze and silver medals in national competitions and with your help he may well win gold! Your main role will be to help our veteran by explaining how far off target his arrow is so that he can then adjust his aim.
When I asked our veteran what qualities a volunteer would need his reply was just good eye sight and a sensible personality. No archery experience necessary!
Volunteers need to be over the age of 18 years. Reliability, punctuality and trustworthiness are essential requirements for this role. An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and relationship boundaries is key to this role. We will give you the necessary training, induction and support to be confident and enjoy your volunteering.
