About the event

This formal dinner in the Victory Service Club (VSC) offers a fantastic opportunity to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day on 6 June in style.

Catch up with friends as you enjoy entertainment from the D-Day Darlings, tuck into a delicious three-course meal and enjoy the camaraderie of the Forces.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to savour our military traditions on this very special anniversary. Mark your calendars and get ready for a military dinner to remember.

Please note: This event is free to registered Members. However, there will be a cash bar available for attendees to purchase their own beverages upon arrival.

Ballot tickets

As this event falls on the 80th anniversary of D-Day on 6 June, priority will be given to veterans who served in Normandy, and other Second World War veterans.

Due to the expected high level of interest for this event, all other Members expressing their interest to attend will be chosen via a random ballot.

We will let you know if you've been successful via email, letter or phone call by Friday, 17 May. (Please note, letters may take slightly longer).

Our military dinners around the country take place at venues chosen to minimise travel time and costs for Members. For this reason, no accommodation and transport will be provided by Blind Veterans UK.

All Members are welcome to bring one guest/carer.

Dress code

Males: Dinner suit with mounted miniature medals. Headdress may be worn outside the venue. Additional badges such as military memorabilia may be worn, though must uphold Blind Veterans UK standards and ethos.

Females: Knee-length dress or equivalent, covering shoulders. Mounted miniature medals. Headdress may be worn outside of venue. Additional badges such as military memorabilia may be worn, though must uphold Blind Veterans UK standards and ethos.
