Blind Veterans UK is here to support you.

We help our Members adjust to the challenges of sight loss with a range of services designed to increase your confidence and give you more independence.

While the specific support we offer may vary from person to person depending on what's needed, every Member can expect the following:

How we support you

Help in your home and local community

Introduce a comrade

We support veterans of all generations, regardless of how or when they lost their sight. If you or someone you know is struggling with sight loss and served in the Armed Forces at any time, including National Service, then please do introduce them to us.

Support for loved ones

We know sight loss affects the whole family, so we support your family members and carers with:

  • advice and guidance from our qualified Community Support Workers.
  • respite care for veterans to give your loved ones a break.
  • social events and carer sessions to meet others in the same boat.

Ask your local team how to get involved.
