Blind Veterans UK launches recruitment drive for two new Trustees

Published on 8 Jul 2026

Blind Veterans UK is set to strengthen its Board of Trustees with the recruitment of two new Trustees, as part of a planned effort to broaden expertise and support the charity’s future direction.

Chair Giles Peel has commissioned two separate recruitment campaigns, each targeting distinct areas of experience and leadership to complement the Board’s existing skills.

The first campaign is seeking a Finance Services Trustee. This role will play a key part in shaping the organisation’s financial oversight and long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will also sit on the charity’s new Finance and Investment Subcommittee, which is due to be established shortly. Recruitment is expected to close on 5 August and applications can be made here.

Running in parallel, a second campaign is being led by specialist recruiter focusing on candidates with strong NHS management or healthcare experience, ideally combined with a military connection. This reflects Blind Veterans UK’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality support services to veterans with complex health and rehabilitation needs. This campaign is expected to close on 29 July. To apply, please send a cv and covering letter to our retained consultant Simon Bell - simon@adjacency.co.uk

For an initial discussion, Simon can be contacted on 07766 714951.

As well as applying online, any Members who wish to apply for either role can also call 0300 111 2233 for assistance in completing the application if needed.

Together, these appointments are important in ensuring the Board continues to reflect a diverse mix of professional expertise and lived experience supporting the charity’s mission.
