About the event
This military-themed dinner in RAF Honington Officers' Mess, promises to be an afternoon filled with warmth, laughter and delicious food. Catch up with friends and Forces personnel as you enjoy our Founder's Day Awards presentations and tuck into a three-course meal.
This event is a unique opportunity to savour our military history and heritage, so mark your calendars and get ready for a dinner to remember.
Please note: This event is free to registered Members. A cash bar is available for attendees to purchase their own beverages upon arrival.

Founder's Awards
Founder's Day Awards will be presented during the dinner for a small number of 'Highly Commended' award recipients. If you'd like to nominate a fellow Member for a Founder's Award and want them to be in with a chance to receive their award at this memorable event, please fill in the nomination form by 12th September 2025.

Our military dinners around the country take place at venues chosen to minimise travel time and costs for Members. For this reason, no accommodation will be provided. Should you require help with transport, please liaise with your local community team in the first instance.
All Members are welcome to bring one guest/carer.
Non-British nationality
If any of your party are not British citizens, a member of our team will be in touch with the required additional security forms for entry to the military base once registered.
A guided tour of the RAF Regiment Heritage Centre will be included by BVUK upon arrival into RAF Honington. Information about artifacts and history of the centre can be found here: Home - RAF Regiment Heritage.
Dress code
Males: Smart attire such as dinner, lounge suit, blazer or chinos. Mounted medals and headdress maybe worn. Additional badges such as military memorabilia may be worn, though must uphold Blind Veterans UK standards and ethos.
Females: Knee-length dress covering shoulders, suit, blouse or equivalent. Mounted medals. Headdress maybe worn outside of venue. Additional badges such as military memorabilia may be worn, though must uphold Blind Veterans UK standards and ethos.

Please bring any of the following:
- UK passport
- UK Driving licence
- UK Bus Pass
- UK Disability Badges or equivalent
