From learning to read Braille to walking with a long cane.

Blind Veterans UK helped Terry rebuild his life step-by-step. The training was intensive and exhausting. His instructors were teaching him essential skills such as how to read, write and type Braille, and how to use a cane to walk and move safely.

“You can’t imagine how frustrating and frightening it was at first.  But I stuck at it and my instructors were incredibly patient and  understanding. I also took great strength and inspiration from the WWI and WW2 veterans at the centre. They had overcome such challenges in their lives, and I thought, if they can crack it, so can I."
