About the event
This military-themed dinner in HMS Sultan, Sr Rates Mess, promises to be an afternoon filled with warmth, laughter and delicious food.
Catch up with friends and Forces personnel as you enjoy our Founder's Awards presentations and tuck into a three-course meal.
This event is a unique opportunity to savour our military history and heritage, so mark your calendars and get ready for a dinner to remember.
Please note: This event is free to registered Members. However, there will be a cash bar available for attendees to purchase their own beverages upon arrival.

Ballot tickets
Due to the expected high level of interest for this event, Members expressing their interest to attend will be chosen via a random ballot.
We will let you know if you've been successful via email, letter or phone call by Friday, 31 May. (Please note, letters may take slightly longer).
Founder's Awards
There will be a Founder's Awards presentation during the dinner for a small number of 'Highly Commended' award recipients.
If you'd like to nominate a fellow Member for a Founder's Award and want them to be in with a chance to receive their award at this memorable event, please fill in the nomination form by 3 May 2024.

Our military dinners around the country take place at venues chosen to minimise travel time and costs for Members. For this reason, no accommodation and transport will be provided by Blind Veterans UK.
All Members are welcome to bring one guest/carer.
Non-British nationality
If any of your party are not British citizens, a member of our team will be in touch with the required additional security forms for entry to the military base once registered.
Dress code
Males: Dinner suit with mounted miniature medals. Headdress may be worn outside the venue. Additional badges such as military memorabilia may be worn, though must uphold Blind Veterans UK standards and ethos.
Females: Knee-length dress or equivalent, covering shoulders. Mounted miniature medals. Headdress maybe worn outside of venue. Additional badges such as military memorabilia may be worn, though must uphold Blind Veterans UK standards and ethos.

- UK passport
- UK Driving licence
- UK Bus Pass
- UK Disability Badges or equivalent
