There are two booking options available to jump for Blind Veterans UK. Both options are subject to a non-refundable payment of £75 to the event provider at the time of booking.
Self funded jumps
Self fund your jump for the freedom of setting your own minimum fundraising target. With this option, every penny you raise goes directly to supporting our veterans with no fees payable by the charity. Your booking will go ahead no matter how much you raise prior to your jump date. Select 'no' when asked if jumping for charity when making your booking. Prices vary from £300 to £400 depending on your selected airfield.
Jump for free
When making your booking select ‘yes’ when asked if jumping for charity. This option commits you to raise at least £500, to be received two weeks prior to your jump. Failure to meet this minimum target may result in cancellation or postponement. Postponement is subject to additional fees, payable by the participant. Fees do not count towards your fundraising target.
Our veterans' challenges
Participating in a challenge is something many blind veterans believed would be impossible when they first began their sight loss journey. Crossing the finish line builds confidence and self-belief that sight loss should not be a barrier to achieving their goals.
Our veterans will be taking part in the following challenges to help raise awareness of the impact our support has – and continues to have – on blind veterans like themselves. Join them in raising vital funds.
South Coast Ultra Challenge
Walk, jog, or run England’s southern coast from Eastbourne to Arundel, with 100k, 50k, or 25k options. Fully supported with rest stops, medics and marshals. The route encompasses landmarks like Beachy Head, the Seven Sisters, and the South Downs Way. Look out for our blind veterans - this event is one of their favourites! The 2025 team share their experience.
'Option 1 Self Funding' is only available to those wishing to fundraise for Blind Veterans UK, ensuring any funds you raise are used to support our veterans.
London Marathon
Each year a team of blind veterans take on this iconic challenge - their participation a powerful demonstration of what's possible after sight loss. With well over 50,000 expected to take part, the course will challenge them more than most as they negotiate the route. Read about our 2026 team. Our charity places to run alongside them are now full. Apply for our 2027 places now.
